T2K is an off-shoot of ANA, August Ninth Analyses, Inc. which was founded by two partners, Henry Weber and Alan Ganz, who set out to create energy-responsible methods to improve manufacturing productivity. The company, with offices in NY and NJ, has been the beneficiary of contracts and grants from the New York State Energy and Research Authority (NYSERDA) and from PSE&G in New Jersey.

In particular, Weber and Ganz set out to develop methods that can readily be used to modernize older factories, especially small- to mid- sized ones. The “ANA Way” enables a change of focus to customer self-reliance. Instead of hiring outside experts, consultants and repair personnel, customers use ANA’s smarter tools to do things for themselves. Customers take charge of their own destiny … what a novel concept! Before the ANA Way, many important initiatives would remain undone, being the domain of highly trained and unaffordable specialists. What had been unimaginable in the past - installing control systems, programming them, trouble-shooting and repair of routine problems - these are all addressed by the customer without the need for the physical presence of obsolete experts.

T2K started as a basic application within ANA, a tool to put customers within reach whenever they needed a hand - no waiting for schedules, travel time or other old-fashioned excuses. With T2K ANA found that customers can almost always get support quickly and conveniently while enabling these customers to have the satisfaction and the experience of mastery over their own technology.
